Smart Capital Funds Pty Ltd, was founded in 2008, a company advising clients on strategies to access capital on the Deutsche Bourse, Frankfurt. We worked closely with listing partners on all aspects of public listings including roadshows and Investor Relations.
Late in 2009, we began working with a large private equity group with the FinTech Group, and as a result, restructured our activity.
In 2012, Smart Capital Funds is a private investment company, selectively investing in opportunities and facilitating investment where connections can be made.
We represent the Smart Capital Group, comprising of like minded individuals and sophisticated investors working independently with entrepreneurs and professionals.
Our activity has changed, but our mission remains the same, and hence the name Smart Capital.
Our mission is to shape opportunities, and provide access to investment and expertise, to nurture a venture. In other words, our mission is about 'smart money' and about blue skies.
Paul Bitetto is an electronics and process engineer with experience in a number of industries which include telecommunications, pulp & paper, rubber, plastics, metals, manufacturing, medical devices, and the financial sector. He has been fortunate enough to spend time in South East Asia and Silicon Valley, California.
He is a graduate from the Australian Graduate School of Entrepreneurship (AGSE) Swinburne, receiving a Masters (Honours) in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and during this time, his team received the Swinburne Venture Cup and Stamford Prize awards and took the runner up award for the Mootcorp national business plan competition.
He has mentored small business and shaped opportunities to become investor ready. He has also served on boards and was responsible for independent and insightful advise.
As a result of his work and studies, his expertise focuses on screening and shaping opportunities, managing innovation and entrepreneurial issues, and disseminating the principles of entrepreneurship and innovation.
